Oxygen Analyzers

Oxygen analyzers are used for measuring the concentration of oxygen. Based on the detection methods, there are two types of oxygen analyzers: zirconia oxygen analyzers and paramagnetic oxygen analyzers.

Zirconia oxygen analyzers are a direct method of measuring oxygen. Zirconia starts out with a room temperature resistance as high as one trillion ohms/cm. In a paramagnetic oxygen analyzer (indirect method), oxygen is considered as a paramagnetic material.

In oxygen analyzers, the measurement principle is based on the strength of the magnetic properties of oxygen molecules. Oxygen analyzers are useful for the prevention of air pollution, conservation of energy, and safety management; they also find application in other quality control systems.
