World Fusion creates sequence analysis service center with bioinformatics infrastructure

Today Japanese informatics management experts, World Fusion, announced the creation of a sequence analysis service center with a bioinformatics infrastructure based on CLC bio's enterprise platform for high-throughtput sequencing data analysis, coupled with World Fusion's own Life Science Knowledge Bank (LSKB) bio knowledge database system.

“I'm impressed by the momentum of the Japanese market. In a short time span, Japan has expanded their position as the premier market in Asia and we have recently added new staff locally to keep up with the current demand.”

President at World Fusion, Kozo Kawahara, states, "After observing a big potential in the Japanese high-throughput sequencing service market, we have decided to use our experience in bioinformatics and understanding of the local life science sector to make a dynamic and swift advance into this space. We think the combination of our in-house software and CLC bio's enterprise platform will help propel us quickly to a position as the leading Japanese sequencing service provider!"

In addition to establishing a sequencing service center, World Fusion also functions as CLC bio Japan's integration partner, assisting CLC bio Japan's expansion into the Japanese market.

CEO at CLC bio Japan, David Leangen, elaborates, "World Fusion is a progressive and well respected local player and we believe they're capable of accelerating our further expansion in to the Japanese market, with a goal of establishing CLC bio as the leading provider of high-throughput sequencing data analysis software in Japan, offering services in addition to those already offered by our current reseller."

CEO at CLC bio, Thomas Knudsen, adds, "I'm impressed by the momentum of the Japanese market. In a short time span, Japan has expanded their position as the premier market in Asia and we have recently added new staff locally to keep up with the current demand."
