Today, Qfix (www.Qfix.com), a world leader in radiotherapy patient positioning devices, announced it is launching the new Symphony Patient Transport System that maximizes workflow efficiencies and throughput by seamlessly aiding in the setup, positioning and transfer of a patient for procedures involving imaging, external beam radiation therapy, brachytherapy and other procedures requiring the transfer of a patient. This new solution will be on display at the Qfix booth #3062 during the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), September 25th -28th at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
Symphony allows patients to be set up outside the treatment room, then seamlessly transported from virtually any modality to another, eliminating the need to reposition patients multiple times throughout the course of imaging and treatment. Symphony also requires fewer staff members to safely transfer patients, placing less strain on clinicians and, reducing the risk of injuries associated with manually lifting and transferring a patient.
"The Symphony provides a simple way to safely increase workflow efficiencies and throughput, enabling centers to treat more patients during typical treatment hours," stated Dan Coppens, CEO and Chief Technology Officer.
