Kyto Biopharma signs licensing agreement with RFSUNY, gains patent rights to Transcobalamin Receptor

Kyto Biopharma Inc., is pleased to announce that it has signed a licensing agreement with the Research Foundation of the State University of New York. The licensing agreement grants Kyto patent rights to the Transcobalamin (Vitamin B12) Receptor and to an additional broad group of other patents which are critical to Kyto’s research and development strategy for the treatment of cancer.

Researchers demonstrate the safety of potential vaccine against mesothelioma

Researchers have demonstrated the safety of a potential vaccine against mesothelioma, a rare cancer associated primarily with asbestos exposure. The vaccine, which infuses uses a patient's own dendritic cells (DC) with antigen from the patient's tumor, was able to induce a T-cell response against mesothelioma tumors.

YM BioSciences Inc., is presenting posters on its JAK1/2 inhibiting small molecule (CYT387) and on its novel vascular disrupting agent (CYT997) at the Lorne Cancer Conference in Lorne, Victoria, Australia. CYT387 is an oral JAK1/2 inhibitor, originating from the seminal discovery of JAK1 and JAK2 kinases by Dr. Andrew Wilks, the founder of Cytopia Limited, now YM Australia. Experts to study how olive oil lowers the level of cytotoxicity in endothelial cells

Experts at Virgen del Rocío Hospital (Seville, Spain) have begun a study on pregnancy preeclampsia on a sample of 30 pregnant women with a view to demonstrating whether or not consumption of olive oil by this population group results in lower levels of cytotoxicity (for example, cholesterol) in endothelial cells (arterial wall cells).
