Clinipace Worldwide, a global digital clinical research organization (dCRO), announced today that it recently closed its best year to date, achieving over 800% revenue growth since 2008. The company more than doubled its revenues in 2010 over the prior year, attributable to 16 new projects awarded from 12 new clients.

New data on role of miR-34 tumor suppressor in preventing cancer stem cell development

Mirna Therapeutics, Inc., a leading developer of microRNA (miRNA)-based therapeutics, announced today the publication of new data in the journal Nature Medicine describing the role of the tumor suppressor miRNA, miR-34, in preventing cancer stem cell development. NCI sponsors fourth REOLYSIN clinical trial in pancreatic cancer

Individuals with intensive educational intervention have better health behaviors: Study

A new study conducted by researchers at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health examines this issue, using data from a the well-known Carolina Abecedarian Project, a randomized control study that enrolled 111 infants in the 1970s and continued to follow them through age 21. Researchers found that individuals who had received the intensive education intervention starting in infancy had significantly better health and better health behaviors as young adults.
