- 120 slides/hour throughput with a 160-slide initial-load capacity and continuous loading
- User-defined/adjustable smearing profiles that use 75 µL of sample
- Three slide staining protocols: Wright-Giemsa, Modified Wright-Giemsa, May-Grünwald Giemsa
- 2D barcode (CellaVision®-compatible) or three-line printing for identification
Flexible workcell integration aims to minimize labor and footprint
Siemens Healthineers intends to provide the Atellica HEMA Workcell to laboratories looking to improve throughput and decrease hands-on time in a dedicated hematology solution. The objective is to boost testing capacity by integrating numerous Atellica HEMA 570 and 580 Analyzers into a system that can be configured to fit the layout of the laboratory.
Design objectives:
- To reach a throughput of up to 720 tests per hour, combine up to six analyzers
- To meet space limitations, it provides linear, L, U, and island-shaped (back-to-back) configurations
- Easily distribute workloads across analyzers using the bidirectional conveyor and intelligent software features of the Atellica HEMA Transport
- Perform all necessary hematology tests, reruns, and reflexes without handling sample racks by hand
