When you have a large number of chemicals, knowing which ones maybe controlled or regulated is a critical but challenging regulatory compliance task. With large number of regulations to consider including controlled drugs, dual use and chemical weapons convention, export restriction, ozone depletion, PIC etc.
Controlled Substances Squared is a software system that is updated every week and can quickly screen even the biggest chemical collections of millions of chemicals for controlled chemicals from across the globe.
Key features
The software tells you unambigously if, how and where your chemicals are controlled or regulated. It checks all legislative requirements, including all ethers, salts, esters, analogs, stereoisomers, and regulated areas of chemical space.
Encompasses more than 28 countries and international conventions for controlled drugs, chemical weapons and precursors, ozone-depleting, export-controlled chemicals and more.
Even works with propriatory and new chemicals. In a single check (.sd, smiles, and inchi), users can upload tens of thousands of chemicals or search by common or chemical name.

On-premise
On-premise is only available with the Enterprise version. This version has all the features of the cloud-based version but is deployed on the user's server and can continuously check compound inventories for controlled substances.
The compound structures do not leave the user's company as it is behind a firewall. However, weekly updates are automatically downloaded and applied. The inventories are then re-checked, and users receive alerts to compliance problems.
