The Hedgehog Mid-IR Laser from DRS Daylight is a next-generation tunable laser head that is perfect for OEM or laboratory applications.
Developed using advanced External Cavity Quantum Cascade Laser™ technology, the Hedgehog laser features a compact design and rapid tuning capabilities exceeding 5000 cm-1/second. It delivers both continuous wave and pulsed outputs, boasts high power and TEM00 beam quality, and ensures exceptional spectral consistency.
Molecular spectroscopy applications benefit from rapid, high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) data acquisition. Broad mid-infrared (mid-IR) tuning further enhances the ability to probe multiple molecules or examine an absorption feature with a high dynamic range.
The Hedgehog system delivers these advantages with its wide, swift tuning across the mid-IR spectrum, low-noise output, and high spectral and spatial beam quality. Its sealed, alignment-free design and the inclusion of a GUI and SDK as standard features make accessing this performance straightforward.
Choose from Hedgehog (which tunes up to 200 cm-1), Hedgehog-UT (which tunes up to 400 cm-1), and Hedgehog-LT (which tunes up to 30 cm-1), the three typical Hedgehog variants.
