The Mecmesin Myometer is an ideal tool for the measurement of patient physiological strength. It helps healthcare professionals assess injury and disease progression and treatment success.
In sports training, it serves as an objective measure for muscle development. It comes with accessories that facilitate fixed-point testing, a method recognized for delivering more reliable results compared to hand-held device usage.
The instrument is designed to be securely clamped to a desk, with the patient's limb positioned in an adjustable strap to ensure consistent and precise measurements. During the process, the patient exerts force against the restraint, and the Myometer accurately records and displays the resistive force generated.
The Myometer is capable of automatically implementing the standard Constant Score calculation method for the muscle strength component of shoulder joint functional assessment. Immediately after the test is completed, the results are displayed.
During the test, the Myometer records the applied load at 2 and 3 seconds, the peak value, and the average load exerted between 1 and 4 seconds.
Included accessories
- Calibration certificate
- Clamp for the mounting bracket
- Comprehensive operating manual
- Cuff and strap for wrist/ankle
- Myometer
- Protective transit case
- VectorPro™ Lite data acquisition software with accompanying cables
VectorPro™ Lite facilitates communication between a PC and the Mecmesin Myometer via a bi-directional RS232 interface. This software captures live tension and compression test values, which are then utilized to plot a real-time graph of force versus time. This graph aids in visually identifying any events during the test that might not be discernible through the instrument's display readings.
Operators can quickly and easily perform in-depth analysis of measurements with a graphical trace of the test.
