Biochrom's WPA S1200+ visible spectrophotometer has been designed to meet the routine spectroscopy needs of customers requiring a small, lightweight instruments that is easy to use.
Although compact, it offers powerful onboard software that is functional in viewing and analyzing data. Easy and simple set up is possible through the ease of the navigation process through the applications. The graphical display enables wavelength scans, kinetic assays and standard curves to be viewed. In addition to performing measurements in absorbance, % transmission, and concentration, it includes sorted methods for Bradford, BCA, Biuret and Lowry assays.
The S1200+ accepts standard 10 mm pathlength glass or disposable cuvettes. A test tube cell holder is available for test tubes that are 10 to 18 mm in diameter. This enables COD measurements to be made when using a standard 16 mm diameter test tube. A heated cell holder is also available for thermostatted measurements at 37 °C.
Features
- Single beam visible spectrophotometer covering 325 – 1100 nm
- Save data on a USB memory stick and analyze results later
- Test tube and heated cell holder accessories are available
- PVC (Print Via Computer) software included to allow data transfer to PC from the instrument
Low maintainance
The S1200+ instrument is designed to make life easier for technical staff and to be low maintenance under demanding conditions. With no lid or moving parts, this robust instrument is east to use, clean and store. This monochromator spectrophotometer has no filters to be changed or lost. The cell holder can be removed for easy cleaning and decontamination.
Data Output
PVC (Print Via Computer) software is included with the instrument providing the user with the option to transfer data directly to a PC. Data can be easily stored on a USB memory stick and analyzed at a later date.
A Powerful Tool for Science Education
Biochrom has helped to educate scientist in spectrophotometry for over 30 years. Our Biochrom WPA brand of spectrophotometers and colorimeters are used by schools, colleges and universities worldwide to educate the next generation of scientists.
