Admissions for substance abuse treatment in adolescents has risen, continuing a ten-year trend

The new data show that the number of adolescents ages 12 to 17 admitted to substance abuse treatment increased 65 percent between 1992 and 2002. In 1992, adolescents represented 6 percent of all treatment admissions.
