CAMH embarks on next phase of landmark redevelopment project

On April 6, CAMH is breaking ground on the next phase of its landmark redevelopment project, transforming the site of what was originally the 1850 Provincial Lunatic Asylum into a modern, welcoming 'urban village' in the heart of Queen Street West. The nation's emergency physicians are issuing a strong warning to parents about the dangers of prescription drug abuse, which are now the second most abused drugs, after marijuana. Nearly three-quarters of a million people (741,425) needed emergency care in 2006 because of prescription drug abuse.

Multi-center clinical trial of MyoSure Hysteroscopic Tissue Removal System initiated

Interlace Medical, Inc., today announced that it has initiated a multi-center clinical trial of the MyoSure Hysteroscopic Tissue Removal System. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that women experience minimal to no pain or discomfort during a MyoSure procedure, when given a mild oral sedative together with a local anesthetic injected into the cervix.
