Dynatronics third-quarter fiscal 2010 sales increase 7.9% to $8,235,060

Dynatronics Corporation today announced results for its fiscal third quarter ended March 31, 2010. Sales for the quarter increased 7.9 percent to $8,235,060, compared to $7,633,419 for the third quarter of the prior fiscal year. For the nine-month period ended March 31, 2010, sales increased 2.8 percent to $25,018,960, compared to $24,348,461 for the same period in the prior fiscal year.

Hawthorn announces licensing deal with University of Pittsburgh for novel monoclonal antibodies for cancer

Hawthorn Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced a global licensing deal with the University of Pittsburgh covering a series of novel monoclonal antibodies for cancer. The antibody portfolio targets a variety of cancers through the cell surface chondrotin sulfate proteoglycan 4 (CSPG4), which plays an important role in signaling pathways regulating tumor cell survival, growth, and motility.

Halozyme announces voluntary HYLENEX product recall

Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. today announced that Halozyme and Baxter have confirmed the presence of small flake-like glass particles in a limited number of vials of HYLENEX® (hyaluronidase human injection) product at the Baxter manufacturing facility. Earlier today, Halozyme notified the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that it is voluntarily recalling affected lots of 150U HYLENEX product from distribution.

Forest, Almirall to present data on aclidinium bromide for COPD and LAS100977 for asthma at ATS conference

Forest Laboratories, Inc. and Almirall, S.A. today announced that they are presenting data from several studies of two investigational inhaled respiratory compounds at the annual American Thoracic Society International Conference taking place in New Orleans May 14-19, 2010. Positive preclinical results of VB-201 for treatment of psoriasis presented at 2010 SID Annual Meeting

VBL Therapeutics today announced positive preclinical results evaluating VB-201 for the treatment of psoriasis. VB-201 is a first-in-class, orally administered immune response modifier expected to reduce inflammation by targeting key pro-inflammatory cytokines. Today's data suggest that VB-201 has significant anti-inflammatory properties that are active against psoriasis; an ongoing Phase 2 efficacy and safety study is currently evaluating VB-201 for the treatment of patients with psoriasis.
