Once a medical rarity in children, inflammatory bowel disease today is increasingly common in kids, but many of them may not be diagnosed in a timely manner, according to experts from the Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.

Smart Medical to customize NaviAid External Channel Device to suit Crospon's EndoFLIP imaging catheter

Medical device developers, Crospon, based in Ireland and Smart Medical Systems based in Ra'anana, Israel today announced that they have signed a collaborative agreement whereby Smart Medical will produce a custom version of their NaviAid™ external channel endoscope accessory for Crospon, to permit deployment and positioning of Crospon's EndoFLIP™ imaging catheter.

AltheRx Inc., a privately-held clinical development company, announced today that it has purchased all assets related to Solabegron from GlaxoSmithKline. Solabegron is a highly selective and potent beta3-adrenoceptor agonist that has demonstrated positive results in Phase II clinical programs for the treatment of Overactive Bladder in women and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
