New research from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston indicates that diabetic patients who got their primary care from nurse practitioners did not have an increase in potentially preventable hospital admissions.

UI Cancer Center and GSU to help reduce cancer-related health disparities in Chicago's south suburbs

The greatest burden of cancer in the Chicago region has moved from the city to the suburbs. The University of Illinois Cancer Center and Governors State University have received a joint four-year, $1.5 million grant from the National Cancer Institute to help both institutions conduct community-based research to reduce cancer-related health disparities in Chicago's south suburbs.
