Pooja Toshniwal Paharia is an oral and maxillofacial physician and radiologist based in Pune, India. Her academic background is in Oral Medicine and Radiology. She has extensive experience in research and evidence-based clinical-radiological diagnosis and management of oral lesions and conditions and associated maxillofacial disorders. During her post-graduation, she received accolades at several national and international conferences for her scientific research papers and the Academic Excellence Award for two consecutive years at her educational institute. Her field of interest has always been the use of advanced and non-invasive novel diagnostic as well as therapeutic techniques for maxillofacial disorders to provide an improved standard of care to patients. She has worked extensively on several research projects based on molecular spectroscopic analysis of proteins and nucleic acids and radiological assessment of morphological alterations correlated with disease severity in potentially malignant conditions. She has also worked on systematic reviews on the immunological management of Sjogren’s syndrome using novel monoclonal antibodies. As part of her post-graduation curriculum, she has undertaken several scientific writing assignments based on weekly reviews of constantly updated scientific literature published in peer-reviewed medical journals.

She is currently working as a consultant oral and maxillofacial radiologist at an advanced dental diagnostic center in India and provides three-dimensional and accurate radiological diagnostic information to doctors and patients on several dental conditions. Pooja is passionate about writing and dental health. Outside of work, she enjoys art, music, traveling, reading, and cooking.
