Desk-Trainer Ltd., specialists in the development of the successful five minute interactive exercise programs, announces the launch of a new Swedish sub-site http://swedish.desk-trainer.com with 10 first exercises translated into Swedish designed to protect against pain and injury resulting from Repetitive Stress Injuries (RSI) or other physical activities. During the first 4 weeks Desk-Trainer will offer 5 exercises in Swedish FREE.
Users are guided through a series of interactive animations which provide movements and exercises targeted at specific problem areas (an interactive Personal Trainer). Guided narrations and multimedia explanations during the exercise allow users to be aware of the flexibility changes that occur between the beginning and end of each exercise and reduction in pain or strain. For a complete cycle of fitness, or pain relief at a specific problem area, the user's progress is saved and the program can be continued upon each re-entry to the site. There are special series for the 50+ called: desk-trainer@50+.
At its main domain www.desk-trainer.com, Desk-trainer.com also offers ergonomic advice for workstations. Subscribers may choose break alerts, training reminders and Personal Statistics for user awareness and adjustments necessary in reversing and preventing RSI. A corporate version of the program with a software envelope that manages licenses and enables statistics is also available for companies concerned about reducing lost time due to carpal tunnel syndrome and other RSI-related conditions.
"By doing the exercises at http://swedish.desk-trainer.com people can discover the remarkable capacity of the brain to form new connections and patterns that will replace those that create pain and limitation of movement," states brain and movement specialist Anat Baniel, the developer of the Desk-trainer program and former apprentice of the well known mind-body pioneer Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. "By providing people the access to easy, safe, and entertaining exercises through this site, pain and strain will subside; they will be able to work longer hours with less fatigue, their health will improve and they will have greater physical comfort; more alertness, improved thinking - and a better quality of life."
At the end of each exercise, users are invited to rate their satisfaction. Average rating on www.desk-trainer.com is 4.78 on a 5 point scale. If the reaction of the Swedish public to Desk-Trainer will be similar Desk-Trainer will continue to translate into Swedish and produce its expanding library of exercises and preset series that address specific painful areas such as Back Pain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Neck and Shoulder pain.
The Desk-Trainer site also features a Members Club, Blog TV sessions with Anat Baniel, Forums, and more.
A corporate version is available for installation and Cell Phone exercises will be available for download within weeks. Cell phone Desk-Trainer and PDA trainer - allow users to benefit from a brief effective and entertaining exercise break, no matter where they may be.
