Allied Management Group – Special Investigation Unit (AMG-SIU) will be speaking at the National Association for Medicaid Program Integrity (NAMPI) conference later this month to educate members on the essentials of audit preparation. AMG-SIU began as an audit firm providing consulting services to the health care industry more than 35 years ago. The company is now actively working with health groups across the U.S. to prepare for MIP audits in addition to their other services.
During the past year, the Federal and State governments across the U.S. have imposed audits on health plans and government organizations to ensure that Medicaid regulations are being followed and government dollars are not wasted. AMG-SIU identifies problem areas so organizations can address any issues before audits occur.
The session at NAMPI will explore key audit issues that health care organizations have encountered and will offer practical advice and steps organizations can take to prepare themselves.
“The key to MIP audits, or any audit for that matter, is to know the regulatory requirements you are bound to and ensure your organization is complying with those guidelines,” said Lori Lewis, Chief Operations Officer and Executive Vice President at AMG-SIU. “We will be providing insight in areas that are often neglected and offer essential guidelines so people can be prepared. The biggest issue for these MIP (Medicaid Integrity Provider) audits is that many people don’t know what they’re dealing with or where to begin –this session will provide those tools.”
In addition to speaking at NAMPI, AMG-SIU is exhibiting at the conference. To learn more about AMG-SIU’s Audit Preparation Program and Fraud, Waste and Abuse Prevention Services or to make an appointment to meet with AMG-SIU at the conference, contact [email protected] or call: 1.714.973.6300.
