New McKinney office of Hospice Compassus to provide local bereavement support

Hospice Compassus, a leading provider of hospice services, announced today the opening of its third Dallas-area location in McKinney, Texas.

The McKinney office, located at 901 N. McDonald Avenue, Suite 200, 75609, 972-548-1600, employs 16 professionals, who focus on the delivery of a full range of hospice services to patients throughout McKinney and surrounding communities. The new office will add additional service coordination and also offers a location for local bereavement support.

Hospice care delivered by Hospice Compassus is managed by an interdisciplinary team of professionals who routinely review the plan of care patients receive. This team includes physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and others who meet to discuss all patients and their charts.

“McKinney was selected for our newest Hospice Compassus location because we have identified a tremendous opportunity to serve that part of the community. Our presence there affords us the ability to respond quicker to the needs of patients since our hospice professional team will now be more centralized within the northern part of the Metroplex. Hospice Compassus deemed it necessary to offer a physical location to our local hospice team that resides in and serves the north Dallas community. With three locations now serving the greater Dallas area coupled with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, we are well positioned to meet the hospice needs of this community. Hospice Compassus is recognized as a leader in hospice and, we look forward to bringing our capabilities to the McKinney area,” said Brannon Wiltse, executive director at Hospice Compassus who leads the Dallas/Fort Worth-area operations for the company.

Services offered from the Hospice Compassus McKinney location include providing hospice patients and their families with physician-directed services such as advanced nursing care; medications; medical equipment and supplies; continuous care approved and arranged by the interdisciplinary team; inpatient care; personal care management; routine caregiver breaks; incontinence supplies; 24-hour on-call availability; medical social services; respite care; spiritual and crisis counseling; bereavement services; volunteer and ancillary therapies approved and arranged by the interdisciplinary team.

Hospice Compassus operates two other locations nearby: one in Dallas at 9535 Forest Lane #211, 75243, 972-690-6632 and another in the Fort Worth area at 7001 Boulevard 26 #500, North Richland Hills, Texas 76180, 817-590-9623.
