Verisk Health, Inc., a global leader in healthcare data analytics, announced today signings in June and July of six new contracts for use of the Company’s healthcare analytics, clinical resource management, risk assessment, and predictive modeling software. Details of the contracts were not disclosed. Among them, however, a new contract with Mount Auburn Cambridge Independent Practice Association (MACIPA) marks a significant entry into the IPA market for the Company. Verisk Health was chosen to manage the IPA’s clinical, quality of care, and financial objectives.
“MACIPA chose Verisk Health’s DxCG RiskSmart Stand Alone and D2Explorer solutions because of the increased data insight and broad range of capabilities that those products provide,” said Barbara Spivak, M.D., Medical Director of MACIPA. “As a physician-led company, Verisk Health clearly understands clinical risk at the physician-level better than other companies in healthcare risk management.”
MACIPA’s membership is composed of approximately 500 physicians on staff at Mount Auburn Hospital and the Cambridge Health Alliance. The organization is focused on enabling physicians to deliver high-quality patient care in a demanding managed care environment.
“The integration of Verisk Health’s DxCG RiskSmart and D2Explorer makes us well-suited to serve IPAs,” said Chris Kryder, M.D., CEO of Verisk Health. “As the healthcare industry continues to refocus on quality of care and clinical efficiencies at the physician level, we are seeing significant shifts in risk-bearing entities. As such, we are excited to offer our unique range of tools to IPAs, which represent a reemerging market segment.”
