Minnesota LECET recognizes twenty-two regional construction firms for providing a safe work environment

Despite the economy's negative impact on Minnesota building projects, 22 regional construction firms have been recognized by Minnesota Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust (LECET) for their commitment to worker safety in 2008.

Begun in 2007, the Minnesota LECET Safety Driven Incentive Program recognizes the excellent safety performance and proactive approach of Skilled Construction Union Laborers and Signatory employers in Minnesota and North Dakota.

"A safe work environment is critical to successful construction," said Minnesota LECET Construction Marketing Director Dwight Engen. "Collectively, these contractors have been exceptional at creating high quality projects while protecting the well-being of their workers."
