Medversant Technologies (www.medversant.com), the nation’s exclusive provider of AutoVerifi™ technology (U.S. Patent 7,529,682) that continuously monitors Web-based credentials verification solutions for hospitals, health plans, state Medicaid programs, and other healthcare settings, has been accredited by the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) in the 2009 Credentials Verification Organization (CVO) Standards category.
URAC, an independent, non-profit healthcare accrediting organization dedicated to promoting healthcare quality through accreditation, certification, and commendation, developed the CVO standards exclusively for organizations that gather data and verify health practitioner credentials.
Matthew Haddad, president and CEO of Medversant, states, “Medversant demonstrated an overwhelming ability to gather data and verify the credentials of health professionals in keeping with URAC’s CVO standards to ensure a rigorous and fair credentialing process that protects patients and providers from poor credentialing practices.”
Medversant delivers an innovative solution designed to solve healthcare credentialing problems -- such as unlicensed, incompetent, or criminal providers -- through continuous real-time credentials verification. The URAC accreditation -- which entails the impartial review of a company's operations to ensure consistency with national standards -- highlights Medversant's strength in healthcare technology, application services, and process re-engineering.
“We stand today as the leader in Web-based credentials verification solutions for the healthcare industry,” Haddad adds. “Our AutoVerifi ™ technology automatically and continuously verifies provider data and keeps information timely and accurate. This recognition is a strong indication of our ongoing commitment to highly efficient, cost-effective, and accurate solutions for provider database management and increased patient safety.”
AutoVerifi ™ is Medversant’s enabling technology for several key Medversant business process solutions, including OneSource, Continuous Data Integrity, and ClaimGard™. AutoVerifi ™ brings a host of efficiencies to healthcare administration, while greatly reducing costs and increasing patient safety.
“The URAC accreditation tells us we’re doing our job well,” continues Haddad. “Our technology is a game-changer for the industry that allows organizations to access a complete, seamless offering that saves money and time, reduces liability, minimizes risk, and increases patient safety.”
Medversant’s CVO accreditation is effective through May 2011.
