Chiropractor and nutritional educator receives Excellence in Nutritional Education award

Chiropractor and nutritional educator, Dr. Michael Dobbins, has received the Excellence in Nutritional Education award from Standard Process®. The Wisconsin-based nutritional whole food supplement manufacturer presented the award during a private reception Thursday evening at Florida Chiropractic Association’s National Convention and Expo event in Orlando, Fla.

Standard Process recognized Dobbins, who is the first recipient of the award, because of his passion for nutritional education. The award honors those who have dedicated themselves to educating their fellow practitioners, students, and patients about the value of combining chiropractic and whole food supplements to help maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Charlie DuBois, president of Standard Process, presented Dobbins with the award, “It is my sincere pleasure to give this award to Dr. Michael Dobbins. His immense contributions have led to a greater understanding of the chiropractic and whole food philosophies. Ultimately, many lives have benefited from his passion to share his knowledge.”

In addition to the award, Standard Process announced a $100,000 scholarship, named in Dobbins’ honor, to his alma mater, Life Chiropractic College West. The Dr. Michael Dobbins Excellence in Nutritional Education Scholarship will provide $10,000 to a selected Life student each year for the next ten years.

Dobbins has been a chiropractor and nutritional educator for over two decades. He is one of the most revered speakers on complementary health care and an internationally renowned lecturer in the field of nutrition and herbal therapy. Alongside his wife, Dr. PJ Dobbins, DC, he maintains a thriving practice in the San Francisco Bay area.
