The Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM), invites media representatives to discover the first autonomous robotic radiosurgery device installed in Canada, the CyberKnife(R) Robotic Radiosurgery System. This device provides a pain-free, non-surgical option for patients who have inoperable or surgically complex tumors, or who may be looking for an alternative to surgery.
A patient who underwent treatment and the Radio-oncology will be available for interviews.
When and where: Wednesday, September 2, as of 10:00 a.m.
10:00 a.m..: presentations, salle André-Bisson, 1st floor, pavillon
Lachapelle.
10:45 a.m.: guided tour of the CyberKnife (radio-oncology team and
patient), CyberKnife treatment room, 5th basement level (SS5), pavillon
Lachapelle.
For both rooms: through the "Radio-oncologie" entrance, situated at the back of Hôpital Notre-Dame, facing the parking lot. Access to the parking lot via rue Plessis.
