Hospital of Saint Raphael implements Think First’s Instant Informatics revenue cycle tool

Think First announced today that the Hospital of Saint Raphael’s Faculty Practice Plan (New Haven, CT) has implemented Think First’s Instant Informatics, a robust, best-practice revenue cycle tool that enables physician practices to measure, transform, and sustain organizational performance, drive up physician practice revenue, and achieve operational improvements.

The Hospital of Saint Raphael’s Faculty Practice Plan (FPP) has selected Think First’s entire suite of Instant Informatics modules, including the Revenue Opportunity Dashboards which address Physician Productivity, Denials, Compliance and Charge Lag. Think First implemented this solution in less than eight weeks and has begun reviewing these dashboards with key stakeholders, including those in Saint Raphael’s Department of Medicine. The initial response has been very positive.

Dr. Alan Kliger, Chairman of the FPP’s Department of Medicine, was one of the first to embrace the Instant Informatics dashboards. “The Think First team and their analytics tools provide highly valuable and actionable information,” Dr. Kliger stated. “In a short period of time, the Think First team has proven themselves instrumental in helping my staff improve the way we manage the Department of Medicine.”

Utilizing Think First’s Instant Informatics, the Faculty Practice Plan will now be able to continuously monitor key performance indicators and compare themselves to benchmarks they have established. Additionally, they will be able to quantify the expected financial results of their efforts. With all the information necessary to manage their business at the line of service, physician, and payor level, the practice will able to continuously improve performance and the bottom line.

"We are excited that the Hospital of Saint Raphael’s Faculty Practice Plan has chosen to partner with Think First and implement Instant Informatics. In the short time it has been operational, Instant Informatics has been able to quickly identify significant and lasting improvements to the FPP’s bottom line,” said Chris George, CEO of Think First. "It became clear early on that our analytics technology, coupled with our revenue cycle expertise, would together have an immediate and positive impact on the FPP’s key initiatives.”
