AmeriChoice of Pennsylvania, Chester County Hospital sign agreement for access to hospital's facilities

AmeriChoice of Pennsylvania and Chester County Hospital have announced an agreement that will provide AmeriChoice Medicaid members access to the hospital’s inpatient and outpatient facilities.

“We are pleased to be able to offer to our Medicaid and CHIP members access to the array of quality health care services and leading technology available at the Chester County Hospital at and other satellite locations in Chester County and surrounding areas,” said Jennifer Kessler, president of AmeriChoice of Pennsylvania.

One of the most prominent hospitals in the Philadelphia region, The Chester County Hospital delivered more than 2,600 babies in the year ending June 30, 2009, making it the largest maternity program in the area. Nearly half of all Chester County residents on Medical Assistance received care at The Chester County Hospital in 2008, and an estimated 70% of mothers on medical assistance delivered their babies at the Hospital.

“We have worked very hard over the years to carefully build a sophisticated medical staff and broad scope of high quality services,” said H.L. Perry Pepper, president and CEO of The Chester County Hospital. “We are happy to now offer that care to members of AmeriChoice of Pennsylvania.”
