Emergency Medical Services Corporation (NYSE: EMS) (the “Company”) today announced that its American Medical Response, Inc. ("AMR") subsidiary has entered into several new agreements to provide medical transportation and transportation management services.
AMR has entered into a national medical transportation agreement as a provider for medical transportation services with SavaSeniorCare Administrative Services, a leading provider of short-term and long-term healthcare services. SavaSeniorCare affiliated entities operate 185 facilities in 19 states.
Under the terms of the agreement, AMR will provide medical transportation services to SavaSeniorCare affiliated facilities nationally, which will benefit from operational efficiencies provided under the agreement, while ensuring the quality of medical transportation services for its patients.
Additionally, AMR has entered into agreements to provide non-emergency transportation management (NET) services for Medicare Advantage plan members through its Access2Care division. Under terms of recently signed agreements with HealthSpring, Inc., based in Nashville, Tenn., and Bravo Health, Inc., based in Baltimore, Md., Access2Care will manage non-emergency medical transportation services for nearly 200,000 Medicare Advantage plan members in 10 states.
Combined, the three agreements are expected to generate approximately $8-9 million in annual revenue.
