CTG (Nasdaq: CTGX), an international information technology (IT) solutions and services company, announced today that CTG HealthCare Solutions (CTGHS), its business unit serving healthcare providers, was named by Modern Healthcare to its annual ranking of the 15 largest healthcare management consulting firms. CTGHS was ranked eighth on the 2009 list, based on its 2008 revenue from the healthcare provider consulting market. The list appears in the August 31, 2009, issue of Modern Healthcare, a publication of Crain Communications, a publishing company providing vital news and information to industry leaders and consumers.
"We are pleased to be recognized by Modern Healthcare for the third consecutive year as one of the largest healthcare consulting providers," said James R. Boldt, CTG Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "In total, our healthcare business represents over 25% of CTG's revenue and remains the major focus of our growth. CTG's significant experience in electronic medical record (EMR) implementations at both the provider and community level positions us very favorably as healthcare organizations increasingly look to EMR systems as a way to improve patient care and reduce costs. Additionally, the availability of ARRA stimulus funds to support EMR implementations is further driving demand for these systems."
Thomas Niehaus, Senior Vice President and General Manager, CTGHS, added, "Our focus on the healthcare market enables us to provide industry-specific technology and business solutions to this large and growing market which has unique and highly specialized needs. In addition to being recognized as an industry leader in healthcare IT and consulting, CTGHS is also well known for the high level of expertise and service that we provide clients as evidenced by our consistently favorable client satisfaction ratings from KLAS, the leading independent organization evaluating healthcare IT providers."
