US Spine introduces Phantom Plus Interbody Fusion System

US Spine® is pleased to announce the launch of the Phantom Plus™ Interbody Fusion System. Phantom Plus provides spine surgeons with next generation instrumentation and implants that offer a compliment to US Spine’s posterior fixation systems. Features include tapered leading edges for easy insertion, a higher degree of doming to more closely match endplate anatomy, anti-migration teeth, and advanced instrumentation for multiple insertion techniques. The implants are made from PEEK-OPTIMA® Polymer from Invibio®, and are available in several geometries to accommodate the various approaches to the spinal disc space.

Phantom Plus marks US Spine’s proprietary entry into the nearly $1Billion interbody fusion cage market. “Achieving product independence has always been a goal for us. This is an important milestone in our growth as a spine company. We now have full control over our entire product range” said Paul Sendro, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for US Spine.

The company is also developing several additional interbody devices to complement the Facet Gun® and upcoming Javelin™ MIS Facet Systems. Minimal tissue disruption and facet-sparing approaches are key features to the devices.

Phantom Plus™, Facet Gun® and Javelin™ will be on display and available for hands-on demonstrations at this year’s North American Spine Society Meeting in San Francisco, California in mid-November.
