INVO Bioscience, Inc. (OTC BB: IVOB), a medical device company focused on treatment options for patients diagnosed with infertility, announced that on September 29, 2009 the birth of the first baby conceived by the INVO procedure and INVOcell device. The mother is a 40 year old Pakistan woman who had suffered from infertility for 16 years. A low ovarian stimulation protocol was used and a single embryo was transferred to the uterus. Both the mother and baby are doing well, the mother could not believe how simple and natural the process was. “The INVO procedure is allowing patients to finally receive infertility treatments typically unavailable in this part of the world. We are very happy for both parents and the newborn,” said Kathleen Karloff, INVO Bioscience’s CEO. Pictures of the baby and mother will be available on the INVO Bioscience website soon.
Although hundreds of babies have been born from Intra-vaginal culture utilizing the INVO prototype device, this was the first baby born from the new commercialized INVOcell device launched in early 2009 in the Middle East. The infertility treatment center Star IVF, Sargodha Pakistan was the first center to adopt the INVO procedure in the region.
