Health Care Compliance Strategies, Inc. (HCCS) announced today that it will celebrate National Health Care Compliance Training Week, October 26th through November 1st, by providing free unlimited access to the HCCS Infection Control multimedia online training course and a special Expert Webinar on preventing Identity Theft in healthcare organizations. Established in 2004, National Health Care Compliance Training Week is a week long event focusing on the importance of compliance training and education in healthcare organizations. More information can be found at www.hccs.com/freeweek.
Two special timely training events are planned for the week. The first event is unlimited access to the HCCS Infection Control online training course. With the H1N1 (Swine Flu) virus and MRSA sweeping the nation's headlines, the single most important thing a healthcare organization can do is educate staff on the spread of infectious diseases and proper hand hygiene adherence. The HCCS multimedia Infection Control course is available for complimentary use by all staff and administrators in your facility for this one week only.
The second event is a complimentary Expert Webinar on "ID Theft: Can Data Loss Shut Down Your Healthcare Facility?" This Webinar will be presented by Julie Ryan, a Certified ID Theft Risk Management Specialist. Healthcare facilities collect financial, health and personal data from patients and are a prime target for identity theft. Julie will give participants the knowledge and tools to implement a corporate plan to address data loss, the Red Flag Rules and identity theft. Participants can register for both events at www.hccs.com/freeweek.
"Compliance training is an important and challenging task for many healthcare facilities. Staff training needs to be effective and engaging," says Ben Diamond, President of HCCS. "Training is about more than just passing a test and printing a report. It's about affecting a change in behavior. That's why HCCS started National Health Care Compliance Training Week."
Participation in National Health Care Compliance Training Week is complimentary and there is no obligation. Any administrator employed with a healthcare provider, health plan, pharmaceutical company or other healthcare institution with compliance or staff education responsibility may enroll their staff for access to these events.
