Breathe Right "Extra" to help consumers sleep better at night

While many of us will never know the feeling of playing in a professional football game, we all should know the feeling of getting a good night's sleep. However, many adults suffer from night-time congestion, a good night's sleep can be as elusive as a speedy running back - until now.

Breathe Right Nasal Strips is introducing new Breathe Right "Extra," a new and improved strip 50 percent stronger than original Breathe Right strips thanks to a third "spring-like" band helping keep nasal passages open as well as a larger surface area to help maximize adhesion/functionality. In conjunction with the launch, Breathe Right Nasal Strips is partnering with five professional football teams (New England Patriots, New York Giants, Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears) to help launch "Breathe Right Game Days" at select stadiums nationwide.

Breathe Right Nasal Strips have been used by professional football players since 1994. The strips help reduce the energy needed to breathe so athletes can focus their energies on their workouts or the competition. The good news for athletes and fans alike is that the product is not only found in the training room - Breathe Right Extra Nasal Strips are available at stores nationwide to help all consumers breathe better so they can sleep better at night.

Breathe Right Extra Nasal Strips also help with snoring and night-time congestion by opening nasal passages so a person can breathe more effectively through their nose and close their mouth while sleeping. Each drug-free, non-prescription nasal strip consists of flexible, "spring-like" bands, placed just below the bridge of the nose. The band's exclusive 3M adhesive system holds the strip comfortably in place unlike store brand nasal strips and gently lifts the sides of the nose, allowing more air flow, providing snoring relief for to sleep better. Breathe Right Extra also facilitates better breathing for people with a deviated septum and nasal congestion relief due to the common cold or allergies.

"Breathe Right has had a long relationship with professional football players using our products both on and off the field," said Darren Singer, vice president of marketing for Breathe Right. "By sampling the new Extra strips at football stadiums nationwide, we'll have an opportunity to help people understand that this is a product strong enough for high-performance athletes, but available to everyday consumers. Fans will get the chance to experience the Breathe Right "wow" moment together with thousands of their friends, then use the Breathe Right Extra nasal strip that night to see how it helps them breathe better and sleep better. Everyone deserves to breathe extra better."

As part of the Extra launch, Breathe Right has scheduled a multi-faceted professional football sampling and trainer outreach program. More than 400,000 samples will be given away to fans at the following games:

  • October 25: New York Giants vs. Arizona Cardinals
  • October 25: Miami Dolphins vs. New Orleans Saints
  • November 8: San Francisco 49ers vs. Tennessee Titans
  • November 22: Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles
