Press Ganey Associates collaborates with HMA to improve patient care

Press Ganey Associates, Inc. today announced a broad partnership with Health Management Associates, Inc. (NYSE: HMA) to help measure and improve satisfaction and engagement among patients, employees, and physicians. The company started working with HMA on October 1, 2009.

HMA owns and operates more than 50 general acute-care hospitals, with approximately 8,000 licensed beds, in non-urban communities located throughout the United States.

"This agreement is a sign of our continued commitment to focus on the care and well being of all the communities we serve: our patients, employees, and physicians," said Scott Campbell, vice president, physician and customer development, HMA. "The knowledge gained through this partnership will help us understand how to best align our organization to improve the experiences of each of these important groups."
