Smith & Nephew to present comprehensive portfolio of advanced wound management products at Annual Clinical Symposium

The Advanced Wound Management Division of Smith & Nephew, Inc., a subsidiary of Smith & Nephew Plc (LSE: SN; NYSE: SNN), announced today that clinicians will present a total of 20 clinical posters featuring its Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) Systems and ALLEVYN(TM) AG, ALLEVYN AG Gentle, ACTICOAT(TM) and IODOSORB(TM) advanced wound dressings during the 24th Annual Clinical Symposium on Advances in Skin and Wound Care's poster session. The poster session opens at 10:30am CT on October 23, 2009.

The body of new data on display at the Symposium includes the following posters:

• A Prospective, Non-Comparative, Clinical Evaluation to Determine the Effect of a New Non-Adhesive Absorbent 3-Layer Silver Barrier Dressing on the Reduction of Bioburden and Closure of Venous Leg Ulcers, Dr. John Lantis and Cindy Gendics, RN, CCRA.

Smith & Nephew will present the comprehensive portfolio of advanced wound management products reflected in these clinical posters at Booth 111. Featured products include the RENASYS(TM) EZ and RENASYS(TM) GO Systems, and the ALLEVYN(TM) and ACTICOAT(TM) portfolios.
