MediPACK honored with the 2009 Caregiver Friendly Award

Today's Caregiver, the first national magazine for all family and professional caregivers, and caregiver.com awarded its 2009 Caregiver Friendly® Award to MediPACK, the Reeves-Sain product which provides organized daily dosage packages for its customers.

The Caregiver Friendly® Awards are designed to celebrate products, services, books and media created with the needs of caregivers in mind.

"Reeves-Sain is honored to receive the Caregiver Friendly Award," says Shane Reeves, Pharm D. and co-owner of Reeves-Sain in Murfreesboro, TN. "Our company takes pride in developing innovative solutions to address medication mismanagement. Our MediPACK product provides everyday help for our customers who are less able to manage a large number of medications on their own. It is a powerful product that our customers tell us 'changed their lives.'"

Awards were presented at Today's Caregiver magazine's Fearless Caregiver Conference held in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. June 18, 2009. Award winners are profiled in Today's Caregiver and on the magazine's website, caregiver.com

The MediPACK product pre-packages a consumer's medication in easy to manage, easy to carry plastic packs with a day's total medication included in one package. The system eliminates error because the individual packages contain only the prescribed medications for that day. The information on the outside of the package details the medications included, when they are to be taken and what day they are scheduled. Information is available at www.medipackrx.com.

"The average caregiver is responsible for over $40,000 in health related expenditures each year, in either personal or directed funds," says Gary Barg, Today's Caregiver magazine's Editor-in-Chief, "This award is designed to help family caregivers recognize and reward those organizations who will care for them in as committed a manner as they care for their loved ones."
