MCHCP offers Mercy Health Plans options to its members

Missouri state employees in the Southwest and South Central Missouri regions will now have the option to choose Mercy Health Plans thanks to an agreement reached Tuesday between Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan (MCHCP) and Mercy Health Plans.

The Southwest and South Central Missouri regions include the following counties: Barry, Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Howell, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Polk, Shannon, Stone, St. Clair, Taney, Texas, Vernon, Webster and Wright.

Having Mercy Health Plans as an option for health insurance coverage provides access for MCHCP members to St. John's Health System network providers and hospitals in their region.

Special Enrollment Period

MCHCP will conduct a special enrollment for a five-day period Nov. 30 - Dec. 4, 2009, adding Mercy Health Plans to the members' choices of five health plan options. Members who wish to continue their coverage or want to enroll in a Mercy Health Plans HMO option may do so.

How MCHCP Members May Enroll in Mercy Health Plans

  • Members may visit www.mchcp.org and log into the myMCHCP to make changes for Open Enrollment.
  • Changes must be made during the special five-day open enrollment period, Nov. 30 - Dec. 4.
  • Members may also make changes by phone or fax. MCHCP phone number is 800-487-0771. MCHCP fax number for enrollment is 866-346-8785.

Provider or Referral Assistance

MCHCP members who need provider or referral assistance may call 877-240-5110 or 417-820-8071 and a Mercy representative will personally assist them in locating a physician appropriate for their health care needs. Members who call should identify themselves as MCHCP members.
