Molina Healthcare of Utah ranked among the top fifty of “America’s Best Health Insurance Plans”

Molina Healthcare of Utah, a subsidiary of Molina Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE:MOH), today announced that U.S. News and World Report has ranked it among the top fifty of “America’s Best Health Insurance Plans” in the magazine’s annual report measuring the quality and performance of the nation’s Medicaid health plans.

This marks the fifth consecutive year that Molina Healthcare of Utah has been included in the top fifty of “America’s Best Health Insurance Plans,” a report compiled in collaboration with the respected National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), a private non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. “America’s Best Health Insurance Plans” is a trademark of U.S. News & World Report. Molina Healthcare of Utah’s ranking places the health plan with the highest ranking of any Medicaid plan in the Utah.

Molina Healthcare continues to be among the leaders in NCQA Accreditations with seven Accredited health plans in California, Michigan, New Mexico, Ohio, Texas, Utah and Washington. Currently, 22% of the nation’s Medicaid plans are NCQA Accredited. Molina Healthcare’s subsidiary health plans make up 9% of the NCQA Accredited Medicaid organizations.

In the overall national ranking of Medicaid health plans, Molina Healthcare of Utah ranks No. 36, Molina Healthcare of Michigan ranks No. 39, Molina Healthcare of New Mexico ranks No. 49, Molina Healthcare of Washington ranks No. 52, Molina Healthcare of Ohio ranks No. 58 and Molina Healthcare of California ranks No. 71.
