RMHC reports grants awarded in 2009

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC®) of the Philadelphia Region, Inc. today announced that more than $290,000 in grants has been awarded to local nonprofit organizations throughout 2009. These grants provided support to programs aimed at improving the health and well-being of children throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region.

"McDonald's is committed to supporting the communities we serve," said John Durante, McDonald's Owner/Operator and president of RMHC of the Philadelphia Region, Inc. "We're proud to have the opportunity to assist local charities in their efforts."

The organizations that received support from RMHC of the Philadelphia Region in 2009 include:

  • Brandywine Health Foundation, Coatesville, Pa.
  • The Chester County Hospital, West Chester, Pa.
  • Community Partnership School, Philadelphia
  • Cooper University Hospital, Camden, N.J.
  • Daytop Village of NJ, Inc., Pittsgrove, N.J.
  • Durand Academy & Community Services, Woodbury, N.J.
  • Homefront, Inc., Lawrenceville, N.J.
  • Hospitaller Brothers of St. John of God, Westville Grove, N.J.
  • Medford Township, Medford, N.J.
  • Melmark, Inc., Berwyn, Pa.
  • OperationWarm, Inc., Chadds Ford, Pa.
  • Reading Musical Foundation, Reading, Pa.
  • Ronald McDonald House of Delaware, Wilmington, Del.
  • St. Michael's School & Nursery, Inc., Wilmington, Del.
  • Variety, Philadelphia
  • West End Neighborhood House, Wilmington, Del.
