HealthInsight, provider of the only value-based health care
administration platform, today announced a partnership with HealthMedia,
Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company, to deliver Internet-based Digital
Coaching™ solutions focused on lifestyle and behavioral change.
HealthInsight offers a value-based analytics tool that enables the
collection and review of health insurance claim data and creates
preventive and condition-specific health actions unique to the
individual. The partnership enables HealthInsight to provide a
cost-effective total population management solution that targets the
health management of all individuals along the health care continuum.
HealthMedia’s interactive online coaching combines proprietary
technology and advanced behavioral science to deliver highly
personalized individual plans and advice that address an individual’s
specific motivations and barriers to success.
“Our partnership with HealthInsight will enable employers to leverage
the proven, bottom-line benefits of one-on-one health coaching across
their entire population,” said HealthMedia President, Ted Dacko. “This
type of program will ultimately enhance wellness and address chronic
conditions as well as mental health issues such as depression, stress,
insomnia and binge eating.”
HealthInsight provides a comprehensive population risk analysis that
identifies markers for potential increases in company health costs and
will help recommend health actions to minimize these costs. These
markers include those individuals at risk for heart disease, cancer,
asthma and diabetes, as well as those members who have few or no
healthcare claims because they are not participating in routine annual
health screenings. HealthInsight’s proprietary technology is able to
generate preventive and condition-specific health actions based on an
individual’s unique health status. HealthMedia will provide the online
coaching solution focused on behavior change once HealthInsight
identifies the health actions.
“It’s clear from recent remarks from President Obama and speaking with
our current customers that value-based health programs are the wave of
the future,” said Janice Rahm, executive vice president, HealthInsight.
“By partnering with HealthMedia, we’re now able to provide our customers
with the best value-based plan design administration and personalized
health coaching program currently available.”
