Imagine what it would be like if every physician and nurse took today
off…virtual chaos. More than any other industry in the world, people are
the most vital resource in healthcare. Pathways, LLC. has solved a
complex healthcare recruiting and staffing problem by connecting
physicians and nurses to authentic career opportunities.
Pathways launched MDPathways.com
and RNPathways.com,
the first viral video job boards in the healthcare community. Both
secure Web sites are designed to increase the recruitment and retention
of relevant candidates through the use of viral videos. Facilities are
able to use their best advocates--their physicians and nurses--to
champion their brand to prospective candidates.
“Physicians, nurses and hospitals find that the recruiting process is
littered with limited, incorrect or biased information,” says Pathways
CEO Dan Gutknecht. “Pathways breaks down communication barriers and
eliminates static written messages that fail to resonate the culture of
an organization or practice.”
MDPathways
has revolutionized the practice search process by allowing physicians to
anonymously view aspects of a practice, hospital and community, all
within a private network, and through the voice of their peers.
Facilities post practice opportunities and use their own physicians to
brand their facility through viral videos. Prospective candidates can
view these videos and learn about career opportunities and the
communities that they are located in on their own time and from the
comfort of their home.
RNPathways
connects nurses with their peers in an authentic and anonymous forum.
Similar to MDPathways, RNs can learn about career opportunities and
about the culture of the facility from the nurses that work there.
“What this also accomplishes is eliminating the need for high-priced
recruiting firms, thus saving hospitals and facilities hundreds of
thousands of dollars during these tight economic times,” Gutknecht says.
“These sites bring the essence of the work itself back to the forefront
of the search equation. Physicians and nurses don’t want sales
information—they want authenticity.”
Both sites do not carry any subscription fees for physicians or nurses.
