Reprints Desk signs distribution deals with seven STM journal publishers

Derycz Scientific, Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: DYSC), a company that is pioneering a fresh way of facilitating the flow of information from content publishers to enterprise customers and their constituents, today announced that wholly-owned subsidiary Reprints Desk, Inc. has signed distribution deals with seven additional scientific, technical and medical (STM) journal publishers, expanding the pay-per-view content available to Reprints Desk customers and enhancing the speed of delivery.

The list of new publishers under agreement includes three physical sciences publishers: The American Institute of Physics, headquartered in College Park, Maryland; IOP Publishing in Bristol, UK; and the Royal Society of Chemistry also based in the United Kingdom. Two more medical publishers join the ranks of publishers working with Reprints Desk: The British Medical Journal (BMJ) Group of London, England and the American Academy of Family Physicians based in Leawood, Kansas. STM publishers IOS Press from Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Annual Reviews based in Palo Alto, California round out the list of new publishers.

Agreements with these prominent STM publishers expand the growing list of journals that Reprints Desk can access immediately for fast turnaround time on single article document delivery orders by research groups at leading life science companies. "These publishers produce many of the most highly cited journals in their fields," said Jan Peterson, Head of Publisher Relations for Reprints Desk. "We are particularly pleased to begin adding additional physical and applied science titles to our agreement list, while at the same time continuing to grow our medical title list."

The American Institute of Physics publishes 12 journals, the AIP Conference Proceedings series, and two magazines, including its flagship publication Physics Today. Its online publishing platform Scitation hosts nearly two million articles from 28 learned society publishers. Meanwhile, IOP Publishing publishes over 60 journals including its own Journal of Physics series and many titles published in co-operation with international partners such as The Astronomical Journal and The Astrophysical Journal with the American Astronomical Society. IOP Publishing also produces Physics World magazine and physics news and information websites such as physicsworld.com. Within the sphere of medicine, the BMJ Group oversees nearly three dozen publications, including BMJ, Heart, and the Journal of Medical Ethics, while CIG oversees Clinical Breast Cancer, Clinical Leukemia, and six more. The American Academy of Family Physicians publishes American Family Physician, Family Practice Management and Annals of Family Medicine. Chemists and chemical scientists depend on the Royal Society of Chemistry for the Chemical Communications, Dalton Transactions and more than 40 others. IOS Press publishes the highly cited Journal of Alzheimer's Disease in addition to 70 other peer-reviewed journals. Annual Reviews publishes analytic reviews in 40 focused disciplines.
