Filmmaker conducts workshops to promote happiness and positive thinking in community

Working in conjunction with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation, author and documentary filmmaker Lisa Cypers Kamen will be presenting her acclaimed Harvesting Happiness Workshops to seniors and at-risk youth in New York City this week.

Lisa Cypers Kamen has been invited to share her Harvesting Happiness workshops in order to raise awareness of the importance of creating a happy life. Her workshops help participant’s access tools for cultivating greater joy and teach the importance of goal setting in order to promote a happier and healthier sense of well-being.

Cypers Kamen’s work on the subject of happiness includes a documentary film “H-Factor…Where is Your Heart?,” Harvesting Happiness workshops, private coaching and an upcoming book.

The Harvesting Happiness workshops for at-risk teens will focus on goal setting and achievement, which have both been shown to reduce risk of teens getting into trouble including drugs, alcohol and crime. The Harvesting Happiness workshops for at-risk teens will take place Thursday, January 21 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Tuesday, February 23rd from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The workshops are at the Pelham Fritz Recreation Center located at 18 Mount Morris Park (at 122nd Street), New York, NY. The Harvesting Happiness workshops for seniors will focus on helping mature adults achieve a sense of well-being, combat depression and teach skills to encourage full engagement in living at any age. Lisa Cypers Kamen’s Harvesting Happiness Workshop for senior citizens will take place Friday, January 22nd from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and Tuesday, February 23rd from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The workshop will take place at 54th Street Recreation Center on 348 East 54th Street (between 1st & 2nd avenues), New York, NY.
