Davis Vision's "Order Online to Win" promotion awarded to Dr. Candice Macri

Dr. Candice Macri, a Pittsburgh-area optometrist, has won Davis Vision's "Order Online to Win" promotion. On Wednesday, Jan. 20, Davis Vision representatives will visit Dr. Macri's office in New Castle, Pa. to present her prize, a trip to Miami for the Big Game on Sunday, Feb. 7. Dr. Macri was selected in a random drawing from all entries.

The prize package includes roundtrip airfare for her and a guest, two tickets to the game, and hotel accommodations for four nights. Davis Vision hopes to alert other providers of the convenience of Web ordering, and motivate them to utilize the online ordering system through this promotion.

Davis Vision launched its "Order Online to Win" promotion in Jan. 2009 to encourage network providers to use its Web-ordering system. Each time a provider placed an order electronically in 2009, the office name was automatically added to a pool of entries.

The Web-ordering tool allows Davis Vision providers greater flexibility, efficiency and accuracy. Online ordering is available beyond normal business hours and offers faster service and better order tracking. It is more accurate than ordering by phone or fax, and it maximizes efficiency for providers, clients and members. Davis Vision's electronic orders have significantly spiked since the promotion kickoff.

"Ordering online is quicker and easier than other methods of ordering," said Dr. Macri. "As the owner of a small practice with just three employees, convenience and ease of use are major benefits of Web ordering."
