APX Alarm, one of the nation’s largest home security companies, today announced that it has partnered with International Aid Serving Kids (IASK) to help support the Haiti earthquake relief efforts.
“There has already been an amazing outpouring of support from our employees to get involved, following this unimaginable human tragedy”
In response to Haiti's desperate need for medical supplies, IASK and APX Alarm are holding a "Medical Supply Drive" tomorrow at the new APX Alarm corporate headquarters in Provo. Local businesses and concerned citizens are encouraged to bring donations to APX Alarm where teams of volunteers will sort and prepare the supplies for delivery to Haiti.
“There has already been an amazing outpouring of support from our employees to get involved, following this unimaginable human tragedy,” says Josh Houser, APX Alarm Vice President of Service and Inside Sales. “We encourage residents in Utah County and along the Wasatch Front to support this great cause by helping the growing number of families and children who need immediate care.”
The medical supply drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at APX Alarm, located at 4907 North, 300 West in Provo, Utah. Requested supplies include: antiseptic cream (Neosporin), gauze pads, ACE bandages, Coban wraps, Adaptic Vaseline gauze, Hibiclens antiseptic bottles, bandages, arm slings, gloves, crutches, wheelchairs, splinting materials, and non-expired over-the counter pain medications.
Those who wish to contribute online may do so by visiting: www.liftalife.org/donation.html.
IASK is also seeking medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists and interpreters to join them on a second trip to Haiti, from February 18-28, 2010. For more information, please contact Illens Dort at [email protected].
