Amerinet contributes to Haiti's relief efforts

Amerinet, a leading national healthcare group purchasing organization, has initiated efforts among employees, members and suppliers to contribute to relief efforts for victims of the earthquakes in Haiti.

“Amerinet has established a fund for employees to contribute to the earthquake relief efforts, with the company matching those funds.”

“During this time of great tragedy and difficulty in Haiti, it is important to offer any aid and assistance available to those in need,” said Todd Ebert, Amerinet president and CEO. “Amerinet has established a fund for employees to contribute to the earthquake relief efforts, with the company matching those funds.”

In addition, Amerinet is asking suppliers, members and the general public to consider supporting relief efforts in Haiti by donating to the Hôpital Albert Schweitzer Haiti (http://www.hashaiti.org/). Ian Rawson, former Amerinet Central president and board member, and his family have been heavily involved with Hôpital Albert Schweitzer, which provides medical care and community health and development programs for more than 300,000 impoverished people in the Artibonite Valley of central Haiti.

Amerinet has also joined the American Hospital Association in encouraging its suppliers and member healthcare facilities to consider donating via the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) or another well-established, private-sector relief organization.
