Medworxx Inc. ("Medworxx") (TSXV: MWX), provider of healthcare solutions for patient flow, compliance and education, announced that Bluewater Health has licensed the Medworxx Learning Management System and Policy and Document Management System. With the addition of Bluewater Health, every hospital within the Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration Network (ESC LHIN) is a Medworxx customer.
The ESC LHIN hospitals all are licensed for the Medworxx Learning Management System (LMS) and Policy and Document Management System (PDMS).
"We had a requirement to better share education and improve how we are managing online education, as well as managing our policies online," said Barb O'Neil, Chief Nursing Executive and Chief of Inter-professional Practice and Organizational Development at Bluewater Health. "We are excited to be working with Medworxx on this initiative. They are already successfully working with the other hospitals in our LHIN."
Consolidated Health Information Services (CHIS) provides information technology, information systems, and telecommunication systems to its three corporate members, Bluewater Health, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and Windsor Regional Hospital. CHIS worked closely with Bluewater Health in the procurement process and will assist in the implementation and ongoing support of the applications. "Our ultimate objective is to unify the multiple implementations of Medworxx in the LHIN within the CHIS data centre," said Paul Audet, Executive Lead, CHIS.
Windsor Regional Hospital is a long time Medworxx customer. "We are glad Bluewater Health has come on board," said Linda Morrow, Manager, Learning & Workplace Development, Windsor Regional Hospital. "Windsor Regional Hospital has created a large number of e-learning courses, some of which Bluewater will be able to share. We look forward to more sharing and efficiencies going forward."
"Medworxx is very pleased to welcome Bluewater Health to its family of customers, and to know that we are now serving all of the hospitals in the Erie St. Clair LHIN," said Niels Tofting, Vice President Sales, Medworxx. "As a company, we have gained experience in the implementation of regional solutions across Canada. We have been doing more and more work with LHINs across Ontario, and the individual organizations within those LHINs. We are proud to be helping to facilitate this collaboration now with the Erie St. Clair LHIN."
