Gentofte University Hospital deploys iMDsoft's MetaVision in its newly-built ICU

iMDsoft®, a global leader in hospital-wide clinical information systems, has been selected by Gentofte University Hospital, Hellerup, Denmark, to deploy MetaVision® in its newly-built, state-of-the-art, ICU. The hospital's department for invasive cardiology is Denmark's second largest, and many of its patients are treated in the ICU. Medidane, iMDsoft's distributor in Denmark, was instrumental in achieving this agreement, which marks iMDsoft's first deployment in that country. MetaVision will replace Philips CareVue clinical information system.

“We are delighted to make our debut in Denmark with an implementation of MetaVision in Gentofte's new ICU”

Leading medical centers around the world use the MetaVision suite of clinical information systems to capture, document, analyze, report and store the vast amount of patient-related data generated in critical care, perioperative, and acute care environments. The system has been shown to significantly improve patient safety, quality measures, and financial performance.

“We are convinced that implementing MetaVision is a significant step towards realizing our aim of improving patient care and healthcare logistics at Gentofte University Hospital," said Thomas Mohr, MD, PhD, head of the ICU. "Among the things that particularly attracted us to MetaVision was the enhanced decision support options it offers when compared with the system we previously used. MetaVision provides far more complete adaptability to our particular clinical and administrative needs."

“We are delighted to make our debut in Denmark with an implementation of MetaVision in Gentofte's new ICU,” said Phyllis Gotlib, CEO of iMDsoft. “I am confident that Gentofte's clinicians will be the first among many health professionals throughout Denmark who will come to enjoy the benefits that MetaVision is already bringing to hundreds of hospitals worldwide."
