GEMI announces addition of newest member, MedImmune

The Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI) announced today the addition of its newest member, MedImmune.

"We are pleased to welcome MedImmune to GEMI," said GEMI Chair, Moe Bechard, Diversey, Inc., "MedImmune is an innovative, growing company whose mission, values and goals make them a leader in their business sector.  Working collaboratively with other GEMI members, they will provide our organization with valuable insight, and be an excellent addition to GEMI."

MedImmune will be represented by Mr. Jim Kearney, Senior Director, EHS; Ann Granger, Director EH&S Business Support; Michael Fessler, Manager, Environmental Affairs; and David Moyer, Senior Manager, EHS.  Kearney stated, "MedImmune is pleased to be joining the Global Environmental Management Initiative. GEMI is an organization that has, at its roots, an understanding of positive ways that business collaborations, and learning from each other, can enhance an organization's environmental sustainability.  We look forward to combining our knowledge with other leading multinational companies in order to better understand and improve our environmental sustainability practices."

GEMI Membership Chair, Lindell Sneed, Manager, Environmental Programs, Abbott, concluded, "On behalf of GEMI I would like to welcome MedImmune to GEMI.
