A Public Briefing, Monday, May 10, 2010, 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., National Press Club, 529 14th Street NW, Washington, DC 20045
On May 10, a number of organizations will join in a briefing on health care reform to talk about what would really allow health care to become more affordable and more responsive to the individual rights and choices of Americans. This will require a reversal of the historical pattern of reform, which has exclusively focused on more government powers, regulations, spending, agencies, taxes and intervention in medical practice. It will require a new focus on what government must stop doing to allow improvements in the availability, cost and quality of health care.
Speakers from the following organizations are currently scheduled to participate:
- Abigail Alliance for Better Access to Developmental Drugs
- Americans for Free Choice in Medicine
- Association of American Physicians and Surgeons
- Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights
- Institute for Health Freedom
- Institute for Justice
- Pacific Research Institute
