Award winning speaker and author Lori Hartwell today released a 6-CD unabridged set of her renowned book, Chronically Happy: Joyful Living in Spite of Chronic Illness, which relates her optimism for life despite living with kidney disease for over 40 years.
“It can be hard to concentrate and read when you do not feel well”
The first 50 people who visit www.ChronicallyHappy.com to share tips on how they are living a joyful life with a chronic disease will receive a free copy (US residents only).
"It can be hard to concentrate and read when you do not feel well," said Hartwell, who had many patients, family members and professionals request an audio version of Chronically Happy. "Diabetics and older people have problems with vision; dialysis and chemo patients can be confined for hours at a time. An audio version allows you to learn and listen as you drive to and from doctor's appointments or undergo treatment."
Chronically Happy is narrated by Wendy Carter, Audie award-winner Scott Brick, Emmy award winning actor and producer Stephen Furst, and Hartwell herself. The production is supported by an educational donation provided by Amgen.
The insightful, often humorous, and touching story of how Hartwell chose to live life rather than succumb to its obstacles is laid out in her recordings, which chronicle her approach of taking simple, logical steps in order to realize one's dreams.
Hartwell, who has had kidney disease since age two and is awaiting her fourth kidney transplant, is President and Founder of Renal Support Network (RSN). RSN is a non-profit, patient-run organization providing service, support, and advocacy to renal patients and their families.
Chronically Happy is also available through iAmplify, which offers the world's largest selection of expert audio and video downloads. It can be downloaded in MP3 format and can be played with almost any media player, including Windows Media Player, iTunes and WinAmp. A Kindle version is also available on Amazon.com.
